Alexandra Aradas

Alexandra Aradas is a Furman University student majoring in Studio Art and Politics & International Affairs. They are active in campus organizations, including the Riley Institute Advance Team and Roers Art Club. In 2024, they were the Queer Arts of Greenville Research Fellow, working with Professor Kylie Fisher to co-curate Found Family at Furman’s Thompson Art Gallery. They also co-founded the Queer Arts Database with the Queer Arts Initiative. An alum of the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, Aradas was the first Rock Hill Youth Poet Laureate (2021) and has opened for Poetry Slam Champion Rachel McKibbens. Their writing has appeared in anthologies and journals, earning awards from Scholastic and other organizations.
