Byrel Kerkhoff-Parnell’s research focuses on racialisation(s) of minoritised groups in audio-visual discourses. She has presented her research at Race in the Marketplace Forum (2019 and 2025); NIAS Studies of Belonging conference (2021); AfroEuropeans conference (2022) and Radical Mothering conference (2024), and been published by Darkmatter, ENAR, Anthropology Now and gal-dem. Bel teaches social justice leadership at Windesheim Honours College, and curates scholar-activist content with the European Race and Imagery Foundation.
