Fatemeh Ekhtesari

Fatemeh Ekhtesari is an Iranian poet, writer, and freelance filmmaker with a master's degree in midwifery. She has published ten books, including poetry, short story, and novels in Farsi and Norwegian. Her recent book is a bilingual poetry collection “Hun er ikke kvinne,” published with Aschehoug. Her writing in Iran caused trouble with the government, and she was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison and 99 lashes. She has been living in Norway since 2017 .
