Jack David Eller is a cultural anthropologist and Head of Anthropology of Religion with the Global Center for Religious Research. He is the author of numerous books and articles on anthropology, religion, atheism, and violence, including Introducing Anthropology of Religion; Cruel Creeds, Virtuous Violence: Religious Violence across Culture and History; Natural Atheism; and Atheism Advanced. He is co-editor of a forthcoming volume on nonreligion in Muslim-majority countries.
